About this project
Changemaker Stories is a new speaker agency based in the Netherlands with an international roster of speakers, from Brazil to Borneo, Kenya to the UK. We are on a mission to drive positive social and environmental change through partnering grassroots Changemakers with the corporate world.
Our business model: find values-driven Changemakers working for social and environmental change who have strong and important messages to share, train them to be inspiring and impactful public speakers, get them gigs within the corporate world, use 50% of the speaker fees to directly fund the Changemaker’s projects to affect real-world change while inspiring corporate audiences to rally behind important issues and influencing company culture.
We enable the companies we work with to directly connect with our Changemakers’ grassroots projects. Companies can align their values with their speakers and give back in meaningful ways. Companies become invested in this change and become part of the story.
We believe we can leverage the power of business to affect real change. We need to work within our current economic systems to create a new story for the business world and invite companies, and the people behind them, to be a part of the action.
For a year and a half, we’ve bootstrapped our way to where we are now. We’ve trained up our first wave of Changemakers who are ready to take the stage this fall.
But we now find ourselves at a juncture. To get this show properly on the road, we need funds.
Why are we asking for help?
Y’know, some people say we are crazy for setting up a speaker agency amid a pandemic. And maybe we are. But we are so passionate about our mission that we thought, to hell with it, let’s give it our best shot.
So far, so good.
Over the last 1,5 years, we have been building this new breed of business. We’ve bootstrapped. We’ve pulled together a kick-ass team, built a website, trained our first Changemakers to be stage ready, set-up a charitable foundation and created a supportive community of Changemakers to share knowledge and problem solve together to enable more affective positive change.
We are almost ready to get out there. But before we head out into the world, we need to develop a kick-ass brand identity, strong communications and social campaigns, a website that functions as a hub and inspirational presentation content.
We are asking you to help with a one-off investment. After that we are on a roll and can sustain ourselves.

How much help are we asking for?
Our goal of € 15.000 is for the development of a kick ass visual identity. It will help us share our story and make people want to stop scrolling and read what we have to say. This will also make us stand out in the overloaded inboxes of our future clients.
It helps us kick off the development of a website that can function as a community hub where we can share updates from our Changemakers and their grassroot projects. We want to be as transparant as possible, so at our website you can see pictures, videos and numbers of what we have achieved with our talks and projects. We also want our website to be an inspirational platform for you. where you can read about our Changemakers and their projects and where we inspire all of our visitors to make change happen.

Participate in our Storytelling week. A once in a life time opportunity to spend a full week with our Changemakers. Including coaching, full board, excluding travel costs. We take storytelling serious. This is why we always start with a full week of storytelling training for our new Changemakers and you can be a part of it and work on your own story (No worries, everyone has a story!). By participating you make it possible for us to pay for the Changemakers to attend this week and cover their expenses. Only 4 spots available!
